We offer a range of Household tasks in order to assist our participants with safe and healthy living environments. These household duties includes:
Cleaning
Assistance with routine cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping and general tidying.
Laundry
Help with washing, drying, folding and ironing clothes, linen and any washables.
Shopping
Support with grocery shopping and running errands like paying bills, posting mail, picking up parcels.
Meal Preperation
We offer support with planning and preparing meals in relation to the individuals dietary requirements.
Gardening Maintenance
Help with maintaining gardens and outdoor areas such as Mowing the Lawn, Weeding and other basic garden tasks.
Minor Home Repairs
Coordinating assistance with small home repairs and tasks when required.
Personal Care Support
Our Support is designed to assist individuals manage their daily personal needs promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. Some of our Personal Care Support consists of:
Personal Hygiene
Assistance with washing, drying and maintaining personal cleanliness.
Support with Oral Hygiene and Toileting needs.
Grooming
Assistance with selecting appropriate clothing and getting dressed or undressed.
Washing, drying, brushing and help with styling hair. Shaving needs, and trimming nails.
Mobility and Transfer
Assistance with moving from one location to another eg. from bed to wheelchair, from bed to toilet etc. We also help maintain safe and comfortable body positioning for individuals with limited mobility.
Medication Management
Support with taking prescribed medication, including reminding and assisting with administration.
Eating and Drinking
Assistance with eating and drinking, such as cutting food, feeding and helping to drink.
Travel & Transport Assistance
This service aims to enhance the individuals mobility and independance by providing various types of assistance based on the individuals Travel and Transport needs.
Accompanied Travel
Assistance from our Support Workers to accompany individuals during travel to ensure they reach their destinations safely.
Specialised Transport Services
Access to disability specific services that cater to the individuals specific mobility needs.
Driving Assistance
Our Support Workers are trained and equipped in providing Travel and Transport Services for all individual needs that are specified in their Care Plans.
Life Skills Development
The goals of Life Skills Development is to provide the individuals with tools to instil confidence needed to lead fulfilling and independent lives. These services are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual and can include:
Personal Care & Hygiene
Training in personal grooming, bathing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene.
Cooking and Nutrition
Introduction into meal planning and grocery shopping, cooking and understanding nutritional information to promote healthy eating habits.
Household Management
Guidance on tasks like budgeting, paying bills, cleaning, and other daily household responsibilities.
Social Skills
Development of communication and interpersonal skills to improve interactions with others, build relationships and navigate social situations.
Travel Training
Teaching skills for using Public Transportation, reading timetables, planning routes, topping up Go Cards and ensuring safe travel.
Employment Skills
Support in developing job related skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette and time management.
Social & Community Participation
Support in engaging with your communities to help build social connections by participating in activities to enhance the individuals quality of life. Key aspects of Social & Community Participation support include:
Group Activities
Joining clubs, groups or classes that align with the individuals interests eg, sports, arts and crafts classes, hobby groups etc.
Events and Outings
Attend community events, festivals and other social gatherings eg, sports games, libraries, support groups.
Cultural and Spiritual Activities
Participation in cultural activities and events that are important to the individuals heritage and identity. Access to religious services and community based spiritual activities.
Family Assistance
Families and Caregivers are supported, empowered and equipped with the tools to provide the best possible care for their loved ones with disability. This assistance can take various forms tailored to the needs and circumstances of each family, such as:
In-Home Respite Services
Temporary Care provided to give Families some time to themselves, which can be for a few hours or overnight.
Training and Education
Training for Families in areas such as First Aid, Manual Handling and the specific disability related care techniques. Getting involed in Workshops and Seminars on topics like: Managing Challenging Behaviours, Communication Strategies and Self Care.
Counselling
Access to Counselling or Psychological Support for family members to manage stress, anxiety and other emotional challenges.
Community Connection
Building connections with other families in similar situations through support groups and community programs.
